Help those affected by Tornado in Kwa-Zulu Natal
Seven people have died and at least another seven are missing in South Africa KwaZulu-Natal, after the southeastern province was hit by heavy rain. Powerful winds and rainfall damaged roads and flooded houses, followed by a tornado that struck the province.
The tornado struck with little warning, catching many residents off guard. The areas most affected were Durban, Inanda and Ulundi where homes, buildings, and infrastructure suffered significant damage.

We’re one of the first organisations on the ground when an emergency strikes. Within 72 hours of a disaster, we can deliver lifesaving supplies anywhere in the world – often even sooner.

Over 3,400 people are confirmed dead as a result of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria on 6 February 2023. Thousands more are injured and displaced, leaving people homeless during the coldest month of the year.
Frantic search and rescue efforts are underway for people reportedly trapped under flattened buildings. Damage was widespread following the predawn quake and its aftershocks, including one nearly as strong as the first. According to local Turkish reports, the quakes destroyed more than 2,800 buildings.
The quake hit a region already beset by turmoil from more than a decade of Syria’s conflict and the ongoing refugee crisis. Your donations will provide vulnerable children and their families with emergency supplies, such as first aid, food, clean water and emergency chelters.
All the resources entrusted to us are effectively and efficiently invested in the lives and futures of children. We always strive to keep our overhead costs low, ensuring that the maximum amount is spent on programmes that benefit children, their families and communities.
In 2021, 85% of the funds raised were spent on programmes, 10% on fundraising efforts and 5% was used for administration expenses.
