We tackle poverty at its roots

At World Vision, we are relentless in going where the need is greatest, where children are most vulnerable. That’s why your support is so important. Together, we can tackle poverty at its roots and work with communities to ensure long term change, so progress is continued long after we’ve left.

For 70 years, we have been driven by a simple aim: to transform the lives of the most vulnerable children. Working in partnership with others, we can have a greater impact in the lives of those we serve, so we are proud to work with dedicated, like-minded partners to achieve this aim. Inspired by our Christian faith and working with people like you, we work in the most dangerous places to help all people, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. This work has brought better futures for 200 million vulnerable children and counting.

Accountability in our work

Transparency and accountability are deeply important to us. Our independent auditors' report by SNG Grant Thornton is conducted in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and are based on appropriate accounting policies consistently applied and supported by reasonable and prudent judgements and estimates. In addition, we are proudly:

  • Registered with the South African Revenue Services (SARS) as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO)
  • Registered with the Department of Social Development as a Non-Profit Organisation
