When you sponsor a child, you have the opportunity to help change not just the life of the child, but the family and community too. As World Vision, we ensure that each child has only one sponsor.

A relationship

While your money is not sent directly to the child you sponsor, you do have the opportunity to form a relationship with them and see the changes you are helping to make in their lives. You’ll also have the chance to write to your sponsored child or even visit them to see firsthand the improvements brought about by your support.

A window on developing community

As life for the child you sponsor and their community improves, you’ll see the positive changes taking place through updates and progress reports. You may even hear directly from the child as they write to you and tell you how their world is changing.
