World Vision South Africa supported the 16 days of activism nationally in all of its 18 sites around the country. As a continuous support against child and women abuse WV has joined hands in a Thursday in Black campaign (TiB) toward a world without rape and violence.

Some of the campaigns carried out by the organisation included the door-to-door child protection awareness campaign in Orlando, launching 16 Days of Activism in World Vision sites and a march by children and community members in Thusalushaka, to make their voices heard with regards to child and women abuse.

World Vision’s overall aim is to:

· Ensure children are protected more specially during the school holidays where there is minimal constructive activities going on.

· Families, children and community at large know how to identify, recognise and report child abuse
