World Vision South Africa
World Vision South Africa was founded in 1967. We are committed to operate with funding from South Africa for South Africa and currently impact some 320 000 lives in 11 area programmes in 6 provinces.
Our work is funded though Child Sponsors as well as Individual and Corporate Development Partners.
World Vision South Africa is a member of the World Vision Global Partnership founded in the 1950s which currently operates in 100 countries. This gives us access to an immense pool of experience and capability.
We impact the most vulnerable children by identifying fragile and poverty stricken areas. An initial assessment is conducted in these areas and together with the community and community leaders, the highest priorities to bring about transformational development are determined. An implementation programme is then crafted which impacts directly on the children and the community in which they live.
